• Who are you guys? We are a family that enjoys the sport of running. We live in Utah County and time races up and down the Wasatch Front. We have developed significant talents in race timing over the past 4 years, timing races with up to 5000 participants. Our services allow race directors to focus on their participants rather than worry about the timing of the event.
• What technology do you use? We use RFID techology to time races. Our particular chips attach to the top of the shoe with zip ties. Our technology is perhaps the most reliable RFID technology on the market. We have looked at RFID tags that attach to the runner's race bib. These technologies are very exciting. However at this time, they are not quite as reliable as the shoe tag. To be fair, races timed with bib technologies can be done very well. However to be done well, they must either implement heavy redudancy of readers (to overcome inferior chip reads) or use a battery assisted chip (which significantly increases costs). The shoe chip is simple and very reliable. It does however require that the chip be collected at the finish line. Check out the service link to see all of the services we offer.
• Do you provide timing services outside of Utah County? Yes
• Do you time events other than running events? Yes. We have timed biathlons.
• Do you provide other services besides timing? Yes. With our timing services, we are able to rent a lot of other equipment to events. We have incredible sound systems, finish line structures, start line structures, results presentation boards, individual time printouts, a stage, troughs for waterbottles and ice, coolers, canopies, etc.
• Are you affiliated with the Freedom Festival's Freedom Run? Yes. Scott currently serves as one of the Race Directors of the Freedom Run
• Are you affiliated with SRC, the running club associated with Runners Corner? Yes
